Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Take a 1/2 cup of the mixture (about 5 oz) and flatten into circular patties. I keep my sour cream container lids for this purpose. I flatten the ground beef onto the lid, and then gently lift them of the lid. Either freeze the patties at this point or heat your grill to cook.

Meanwhile, heat 2 frying pans over medium heat, adding a tablespoon of olive oil to each pan.

Cook the mushrooms in one pan, seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
-
Cook the onions in the second pan, until translucent. Season with a bit of salt and pepper. Set aside the cooked mushrooms and onions until you are ready to top your burgers. Cook the sliced bacon.
-
Once you have your topping ready to go, proceed to cook your patties on the BBQ until no longer pink. The best way to cook hamburgers is quickly on high heat. Try flipping only once for best results.

Layer your tops on your hamburger as you desire and enjoy!
