Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9x13 aluminum baking pan with parchment paper. Spray the pan where the parchment paper does not cover with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine the butter, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla extract together until well combined. A whisk works well for this.

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. You don’t want to over mix the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

Cook in the oven for about 40 minutes, until the edges start to get crunchy and start to pull away from the side of the pan.

Allow the brownies to cool completely before lifting the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper. Place on a large cutting board and use a serrated knife to cute your brownies. You can also place the brownies in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm up before cutting.
