No summer is complete without making a batch of jello shooters at least once. Even if it means hiding them at the back of the fridge until the kids go to bed or sneaking them up to the bathroom to have a few through out the day. Someone told me they did that some times. It certainly was never me.
I was asked to make a few batches of jello shooters for our company (after hours) BBQ and I was more then happy to oblige. Particularly the testing and sampling phase. (good thing I didn’t need to drive anywhere afterwards) I put together some traditional flavours like lemon drop and Strawberry Lemonaid but then I had to experiment with a few flavours because, what would be the point if I didn’t? Add a few fun names to keep it interesting for the adults and VOILA!! The shooters were so good, the bartender working next door to our BBQ / fire may have come over to ask me for my recipes. 😉
Make it extra fun by handing out glow sticks and other glow in the dark toys like wands, ice cubes and shot glasses. Yes, I have some fun co-workers.
These recipes make approximately 24 – 1 oz shooters. The picture shows 2 1/2 oz containers which people found difficult to eat. Not too difficult however, all the shooters were all gone by the end of the night. 😉

Basic Jello Shots – Strong
1 Cup boiling water
½ Cup vodka
