Party Inspiration: Disney’s Frozen Birthday Cake

My daughter’s Disney’s Frozen birthday cake will forever go down in history. Well, until the next grand undertaking.  This Strawberry Tuxedo Cake with Whipped White Chocolate Frosting from Urban Bakes was quite the process, but as I always say, anything in life worth having never comes easy.  (so I’m not considering this one of the 365 Easy Recipes) However, this recipe was SO GOOD I couldn’t not share my success with this recipe.

After some playful banter from Connie on Facebook, I decided to make this cake for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party. What.A.Success!
I had many parents asking me where I had purchased the cake.  It’s the Whipped White Chocolate Frosting that did it for me. Everything else about the cake was amazing too, but it was definitely the white chocolate frosting.

I do have to pat myself on the back for this one. I do not pride myself on being a caking decorator. I can bake and cook, and I make every effort to make things “look pretty”, but I am in no way a cake decorator. So with that being said, even if you think you do not have the skills to tackle this incredible cake… you do!

If nothing else, you need to head over to Urban Bakes to see the beautiful pictures of her cake. As well as the Disney’s Frozen Birthday Cake turned out, I still bow down to Connie’s incredible skill in the kitchen. (and I’m envious of her super pretty cake stand she had to display this stunning cake on)

A little about my daughter’s party:

  • it was a Disney’s Frozen Bowling Party
  • I purchased Disney’s Frozen water bottle wraps for bottles of water
  • Each child received a Disney’s Frozen treat bag filled with fun summer inspired treats even Olaf would have enjoyed
    • pin wheel
    • bubbles
    • sidewalk chalk
    • hawaiian leis, the kind Olaf wore in his summer dream
  • a variety of other consumable party supplies
  • the CAKE! (recipe found here)

I found most of my inspiration on Pinterest.

  1. Your cake looks gorgeous! Believe me, when I did my first cake it wasn’t so easy but the process is always fun and I can honestly say, it does get easier with practice. I love the Frozen-themed colors here and thanks for sharing! 🙂

    • The cake was so delicious and well received, I’ll have to make it again soon. Maybe with a little practice, I’ll get a little better. 🙂
